Out of curiosity, did you already read the Hades story (You’re My Lady)? I published it before turning this into a series, so I know most readers started with that one. I’m wondering how the impression of the early chapters would be different without knowing beforehand what his deal is actually.
I did! I might go back and reread it now I'm seeing the other guy in action, to borrow the phrase: she doesn't know the full scope of his deal, right? This is really well done.
The fan fic! 🤣 This is so fun, with just the right amount of grimness to make it hard-hitting and somehow grounded even amid the hellish portals and clones and teleportation and fan fic and missing pizzas rolls. I love it!
That's even better than I hoped for! Thank you. I'm always worried I've let it get a little too silly. (The overwrought fanfic was disturbingly easy for me to write. 😆) The next chapter is veering way toward grim, so I hope I can keep it light enough to match.
